Considering the circumstances the 2024 European Championship Amputee Football in Evian-les-Bains (Frankrijk) gave us reasons to be proud. The sixteen participating countries were divided over four groups through a draw, which inexplicably placed the four winners of the 2023 qualification tournaments in one group! This meant that we, as winners of the Nations League Tournament Poule D had to play against renowned countries such as England and Italy (two losses, unfortunately), followed by our first win against Georgia.   

A ninth place in the final standings thus became the best we could still reach and thanks to consecutive wins over Belgium, Ukraine and Azerbeidjian we managed to become "The Best of the Rest". The final tally read: six games in total, two losses and four wins! A fine result, which requires a worthy follow-up in 2025 and beyond.
